We had a Guest Artist, Sam Roberts speak to the students about portrait drawing.  Mr. Roberts is a Tulsa University student who is minoring in Fine Arts.  He demonstrated drawing techniques and shared with us some of the peices in his portfolio.  A couple of us we even fortunate to receive one of his original drawings.  We learned alot from Mr. Roberts and have been putting the techniques he shared to use in the classroom.

We have had a blast creating bead critters.  We surfed the net to find some great patterns. Try out  one of our favorite sites.

April 26-30 will be the annual Youth Arts festival at the UPAC. Many of us will be exhibiting art work this year.  Mark your calendars and join us in a celebration of the arts!

In March we will be creating a batik (a wax resist design) on a sheet of muslin.  We will create vibrant nature designs using wax crayons and watercolors.  Look for examples of our finished peices in the future.
